Today , I got to re-enact my boyhood dream of being Batman a la Adam West and rappel down the side of a building. Tomorrow, the Special Olympics of Montana is holding a funraising event where if people raise $1000 dollars they can rappel down the side of Montana’s tallest building, The 1st Interstate Bank building. Today was a media day to promote the event and I got to rappel down alongside Gazette reporter Zach Benoit. The photos from above of me are taken by Bob Zellar. The photos along side the building are screengrabs from my GoPro.
There is an owl who lives in my neighborhood. For over a year, I have been trying to get a great shot of him, but he usually flies off before I can get anywhere near him. This isn’t the amazing shot of him that I still hope to get, but it is the closest to him that I have come. The tree’s foliage was very dense which made getting a decent angle on him near impossible. I like the look he is giving me. I think he was annoyed that I was disturbing his sleep.
MotnanaFair is going on in Billings so I’ve been shooting a number of fair videos. Mostly they have been pretty borig, but this one about the rides was a ton of fun. I had people ride most of the rides for me with cameras, but I couldn’t get anyone to ride the big ride, Speed, so I rode it myself. You can watch the video here. Watch it until the end. The guy on the last ride is pretty funny.
I shot this video yesterday of the Acton Bar and Steakhouse where every Wednesday they host a bull riding event. It was a fairly interesting scene. One of the better riders was 13-year-old Warren Brennan who has been riding for the last three years. He was by far one of the smallest riders, but at the same time he was also one of the toughest riders out there. Click here to watch the video.
Yesterday, my third Yellowstone National Park video posted. Here is a link to watch it if you are interested: CLICK HERE. This a screen grab from the video. It is a shot of young bull moose.
I shot a wedding this last Saturday here are some pics from it.
Yesterday, I shot my fashion videos for the Gazette. Two of the three videos were back to school themed that focused on jeans. I had a lot that I could have complained about when I got there – the ambient light, the location(a retail store), the size of the area that I had to work(big store but very cramped), the very limited amount of time(1.5 hours to set up and shoot three videos and photos) . But with all the drawbacks, the Mall and Buckle mangers wanted me to focus on the back pockets of jeans. So, I basically had to take pictures of attractive women’s butts. Its hard to complain when you realize you are getting paid to do that. Here are some of the pictures from the shoot.
