Local musicians Reid Perry and Grant Jones both of Reid Perry and the Cold City Lights stopped by the studio to perform their song ‘Alexandretta.’
Here is Magik City Music Group’s second song from their performance in my studio in the Gazette.
This week I shot two pretty amazing individuals. The first was Christian Parrish Takes The Gun aka Supaman. Hes a member of the Absalooke (Crow) Nation. He was invited to this years Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to Fancy Dance on one of the floats. He is also a pretty talented rapper, so I am hoping to get him back in the studio to perform some of his music in the near future. In the video Christian gives describes the origins of Fancy Dance and then demonstrates his skills.
The second is another Wyoming country artist, Doug Balmain, who like fellow Wyoming artist Teka Brock shuns the pop country sounds of Nashville to create more heartfelt and personal music.
These were both shot with a Canon 5d MKIII and a Canon 70D. A GoPro Hero 2 was also used on Doug’s video.
Here is a music video of Christian aka Supaman shot by B.L.A.D.E.
This Teka Brock’s second song from her time in the studio. It’s a great song. Check it out.
Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Johnny Green of Johnny Green and the Green Men. Now, you might be asking yourself, “who the heck are they and why do you have your panties in a bunch over this guy?” This is why…
I am a huge Batman fan. I have been one my whole life. My life long passion for all things Batman started with the 60’s television show starring Adam West.
Johnny Green was in a beach band when he and his band his were given the roles of the Joker’s henchman and asked to help create the song beds for the television series including the theme song. The reason that much of the music on the show has that distinct vibe is because of the Green Men.
Johnny was one of those guys where you can hang out with an chat to all day. He has spent his life touring the world, and he had a ton of wild stories that he loved to share. I’m sure I only scratched the surface.
You can watch him do his fire eating and talk about his time and the Batman show on this video that I produced here:
Here are some photos that I shot of him eating fire:
Here is the video that I shot of the Magik City Music Group. They are a Billings-based hip-hop act. The band’s members are MC Luis Montoya, Lead Vocalist Chalce-donae, and DJ Next Year aka Rodney Montoya.
Here is an an interview that I shot today of Auliea Hanlon, the mother of Cherise Moralez. Cherize Moralez was raped by her teacher at Senior High School when she was 14 and she later killed herself. The case has recently drawn international attention because Judge G. Todd Baugh made some idiotic statements about Cherise at a sentencing hearing for her rapist, Stacey Rambold. He basically justified a 30 day sentence for rape by claiming that Cherise acted older than her age.
The interview is edited into two parts. The third video is of the protest today to get Baugh to resign.
