Recently we decided to spice up our video studio a bit by creating a set that could be quickly covered by our back drops when needed. The idea for the studio conversion came from the desire to have a fun place to shoot featured artists for our entertainment section called Enjoy. Normally I do everything in power to avoid shooting in the drab studio. My predecessor spent a lot of money on it, and now I only use it when I want to set a dark or serious mood: like in this video of Myke Bogan.
Myself and the Enjoy editor Jaci Webb were given pretty much free range to come up with whatever we wanted as long as it met two criteria: 1) It came in on budget which was $0.00. 2) It was named something that promoted the Enjoy brand. So Studio Enjoy was born. Jaci had the idea of inviting a couple of muralist that she had previously interviewed to paint murals on the back wall, and they graciously agreed to donate their time and paint to the cause. Today, Sean Thomas and Pierre Hart wrapped up the mural. So I shot a couple of portraits of them in front of the their work.
