This evening, I was out hiking around some of the public BLM land around Billings, and I stumbled upon a beat up livestock trough. Maybe I should worry about the way my mind works these day because I ignored all of the natural beauty that surrounded me and began to focus on the trough. I initially thought this would make a cool spot for a future more elaborate shoot, so I captured a couple of wide shots to act as reminders, and when I thought I was done I noticed a little purplish/rust metal sliver sticking out of the bottom of the trough, and I began to focus on that. My favorite shot is the one from above that makes it look like a moonscape.
