No time for a macro shot today. I’ve been working from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. I just made it home to post these before midnight.
I shot these while working my last video shoot of the day which was also the most difficult. The location was a bar/club called the Fraternity of Eagles. The show happened to be in their basement which was nearly pitch black except for a couple of black lights that lined the stage. When I shot these I used my Canon 580ex with a Sunpack softbox attached. I tried to make sure that no matter how I held the camera, the flash pointed straight up to the ceiling. I think the results turned out pretty well given the lighting circumstances. IF I had the time, and I didn’t have to shoot video, I would have like to move my flash around and fired it remotely.
This guy kept pacing around the place. He would bump into everyone and walk in front of all my shots. This shot was an accident, but I kind of like this as a portrait for the dude.
