Today was an amazing day. The weather was perfect, I was able to shoot a fun video about a haunted hotel, I was able to manage plenty of still photography, and Zoë and I made up a new game. The game was pretty simple. I played “Sweet Georgia Brown” on the stereo and while dancing in a silly manner, I would try to find creative ways to smash her giant rubber ball into my face and head. Her part was to laugh while retrieving the ball so that I could repeat the process.
Apple mead/cider/wine update
For anyone interested, last night I racked my mead from the primary fermenter into a carboy. It had been three weeks since I started the process, and while I didn’t take a hydrometer reading, I am nearly 100 percent sure it was ready to go — I suppose I am continuing the lazy man theme with this batch. After racking, I moved the mead into my basement where I will probably leave it there for a month or two before I rack it again.
