I was at Swords Park testing my new 70-200mm Canon lens when I saw this deer skull. It instantly reminded me of my first photography teacher at TCU, Dick Lane. I remember Dick was working on project photographing roadkill. I doubt Dick remembers me, unless I managed to leave an impression on him via the bruise on his head that was created when he would slap his hand to his head and shake his head in disbelief at the work I would present.
Anyway Dick seems to still be teaching at TCU and he has some pretty amazing art. I am especially impressed with his Kirlian photography. He uses electricity to capture images on film. It is definitely worth a look. You can check it out at his website: www.dicklanephotography.com.
Here is some of the rest of the shots from my test run. All in all, I have to say this lens is going to get a heck of a lot of use.
